Bundle Up...

Is it cold enough for you yet? I know that some of you folks in the South are not used to cold and snow, but I'm glad it's finally here in Southern Colorado. Our ski area is booming, with over 6,000 skiers on December 28, 2010!

When it gets this chilly, I love to turn on my fire(it's gas) and sit close by. It doesn't matter what's to eat-hot chocolate, chili, homemade soup-it all tastes better by the fire. I'm using my jumbo mugs from Gibson and small Fiesta plates in red and cobalt. One spoon and a simple napkin finish my meal. I know that this looks very plain, but when it's cold, I just don't want to drag alot of stuff out.

Susan- keep up the good work!! I love looking at all of the fabulous tables you set. Each and every one of you inspire me. Click on the "Tablescape Thursday" button to get back to the fun--and stay warm!!!

  1. There's nothing like sitting by the fire, gas or not and everyone loves hot chocolate. Very Cute.

  2. 6,000 skiers??!?!?! I think my best friend's son is one of them. He LOVES it there in Colorado and gets up there every chance he gets. You totally have the right idea of turning on the fireplace and just relaxing! Have a wonderful and peaceful week!

  3. That looks like the perfect spot to sit and be cozy on a cold winter day! I can't get over the nubmer of skiiers. That's just wild! My husband's cousins both live in Colorado and love to ski!

Hope you'll join me for a china drawing I'm having on my blog. The winner will receive something in their favorite pattern. I accidentally forgot to mention this in the linkhy. LOL! My brain is on auto pilot lately. ;-)

    Happy Tablescape Thursday...

    XO,

  4. That's not plain just perfect. I don't have a dishwasher so I don't use any more plates than I have to other than for a tablescape.

  5. I've had our fireplace roaring for weeks now. It just always, somehow, makes each day a bit more special. Thank you for sharing your charming vignette. Cherry Kay
